Aim and Scope

Aim & Scope

Journal of Applied Microbiology & Virology (JAMV) is an open-access, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to advancing research and innovation in the fields of microbiology, virology, and their applied disciplines. The journal provides an international platform for scientists, healthcare professionals, and researchers to share studies that enhance understanding of microorganisms, viral mechanisms, and their implications for human, animal, and environmental health.

Its core mission is to promote scientific excellence by integrating fundamental and applied research in microbial and viral sciences. The journal encourages interdisciplinary studies that contribute to the development of diagnostics, therapeutics, vaccines, and industrial processes, ultimately addressing global health and biosafety challenges.

The journal welcomes contributions on a broad range of topics, including but not limited to:

  • Bacteriology, mycology, and parasitology

  • Medical, veterinary, and environmental microbiology

  • Viral structure, genetics, and replication mechanisms

  • Clinical virology and infectious disease management

  • Antimicrobial and antiviral resistance studies

  • Host-pathogen interactions and immune responses

  • Vaccine design, immunotherapy, and antiviral drug development

  • Microbial genomics, proteomics, and bioinformatics

  • Industrial biotechnology, fermentation, and biosafety

  • Public health microbiology and epidemiological surveillance

We invite submissions in the form of original research articles, review papers, short communications, and case studies. All manuscripts should contribute to advancing scientific understanding and practical applications in microbiology and virology for human and environmental benefit.
